13 VULTURES HAUNTED ESTATE

THE BIG COUNTRY'S NEWEST AND BIGGEST HAUNTED ATTRACTION

WE'LL SCARE THE YELL OUTA YOU

In the fall of 1948, Doctor Leonard Burnfield and his family migrated to this area from Germany. The doctor set up a small medical practice and his family started working the land on their tiny farm. The doctor was supposedly a highly trained physician in his home country, however, he seemed to have a problem fitting in to the american medical scene. The doctor claimed to have discovered the ability to bring recently deceased corpses back to life. These outlandish claims soon caused the locals to  suspect the doctor might be insane. Amidst claims of malpractice, torture and indecent treatment of patients, the doctor closed his practice. The doctor did not, however, stop "practicing" on unsuspecting drifters and other unfortunates. Soon, claims of cruel experiments were passing among the local residents, Talk of strange half human half animal creatures roaming the Burnfield farm filled the conversations at the local coffee shops. Then, on a foggy cool morning, news spread that the entire Burnfield family had been murdered. The hermit like family didn't have much outside contact, so no one knew about the grisly deaths until a flock of vultures was noticed perched on the farmhouse. They had been feeding on the remains of the family, that had been torn apart by what appeared to be some sort of animal. To this day, people say you can still hear the unearthly howls of unknown creatures, and see shadowy figures moving about the farm at night. It is said that anyone who passes through the gates, takes a chance on never returning. Do you dare enter?

The Farmhouse
Tour the house where the massacre occurred. Visit the doctor's study, the parlor, and all the other rooms where the Burnfield family lived and died. But beware, rumors abound about the strange activity that still persists on dark lonely nights. Some say the spirits of the family and their victims still roam the old house, terrifying anyone brave enough to venture past the front door. It is said that a vampire has taken up residence here, along with his family of nocturnal disciples. Perhaps a remnant of the evil that the mad doctor surrounded himself with. It is said that evil attracts evil, so maybe some unknown telepathic aura lured them here. Whatever the case, beware of the bloodsuckers.

The Laboratory
Get a look inside the rooms where Dr, Burnfield practiced his sadistic form of "medicine".  It is said that there are still “doctors” at work here. That they are attempting to create a vampire, werewolf hybrid or some such nonsense. Some say they have actually achieved their goal, based on the howls and screams of pain heard on moonlit nights..  Do you dare see for yourself?

The Cemetery
This ancient graveyard is the resting place for the Burnfield family, as well as many of the victims of the doctors cruel experiments. It is said that the dead don’t rest here, often seen strolling among the tombstones on still gray nights. Perhaps searching for some sort of vengeance for their horrific deaths. If you are kind to the long dead caretaker, maybe he will show you the way through safely.

The Woods
Take a stroll through a wooded swamp area where your nightmares come true. The inbred hillbilly family, the Merrills, have adapted to all the weird activities in the woods. It’s just business as usual for them. But for the average person, it might be too much to deal with. Half human beasts, voodoo spells, and and Ma Merrill’s own brand of “white lightning”,all combine for an out of this world experience.

The Clowns

The field
This part of the property has been leased out to farmer from Iowa. No one knows much about him, because he stays pretty much to himself. It is said that he talks to his plants, and that he does strange experiments involving corn genetics, There is an old abandoned greenhouse that sometimes has lights on late at night. Locals say that they have actually seen living scarecrows, as well as a living breathing cornstalk. Others who have braved the property in daylight, speak of plants that grab your legs and attempt to smother you with their leaves. Gives new meaning to the term “living plants”.

The Vegetable stand
Possessed Pete’s Putrid Produce is a small roadside stand where you can see the results of the Burnfield farm. Rotten pumpkins and corrupt corn are just two of the many weird varieties of produce you can find here. But, beware the owner. They say he is actually a scarecrow that only shows his true identity in October.
